What is Mindful Breastfeeding?
Mindful breastfeeding is underpinned by our understanding of the mind-body connection and the impact our thoughts, feelings and emotions can have on our body and breastfeeding in particular.
You will learn how our bodies produce breastmilk, including how your hormones control the production and release of breastmilk,
This course also includes practical tips and advice on how to feed your baby, common breastfeeding issues and when/who to ask for support.
By exploiting our knowledge of how our environment can influence our bodies, we can use certain techniques to assist us in our breastfeeding journey.
Another key strand of the mindful breastfeeding approach is strengthening the connections with your baby to support breastfeeding by improving the signalling and communication between mother and baby.
